Heavy Vehicle Operator

Our operations cater to various sectors including educational institutions, healthcare facilities, hospitality, government entities, and other institutional campuses.
Primary Responsibilities
The Heavy Vehicle Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials and equipment to multiple construction sites across the Gulf Coast region.
Essential Duties
- Operate trucks to transport materials and equipment to designated locations.
- Secure loads using blocks, ropes, and other devices during transit.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and trailers.
- Verify shipments against shipping documents.
- Maintain logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct regular checks on vehicle equipment and supplies to ensure road safety.
- Report any necessary repairs to the supervisor.
- Perform minor emergency repairs on the roadside.
- Carry out various yard duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Class A Commercial Driving License and have familiarity with various trailer types and hauling methods.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and frequently carry up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with local roads and navigation.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
