Job Description:

The Occupational Health and Safety Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to occupational safety and health. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and programs to minimize occupational health and safety risks and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new or anticipated regulations or compliance interpretations that may affect the organization.
  • Assist in conducting safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and develop corrective actions.
  • Provide training to employees on occupational safety and health topics and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with departments to develop and implement workplace safety programs.


Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, Fire Protection, or related field. No experience is required for the Level 1 position, three years' experience is required for the Level 2 position, and five years' experience is required for the Level 3 position. Professional certification is preferred for Level 2 and 3 positions. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
