Occupational Health Nurse Specialist

Concentra Career Choice is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our patient care team, you will work closely with practitioners to assist with patient care, physical examinations, and ancillary tests.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Coordination: Escort patients to exam room, prepares patients for examination and treatment, and assists the practitioner, as requested.
- Clinical Support: Draws blood and prepares appropriate paperwork for laboratory pick-up, performs urine drug screens, using proper chain of custody; ensures preparation for pick-up and shipment to appropriate laboratory.
- Exam Room Maintenance: Maintains exam rooms, lab area, and treatment rooms clean and stocked, maintaining inventory of supplies and re-orders as needed.
- Medical Record Maintenance: Assists in medical record maintenance by keeping health, administrative, and program records onsite, safeguarding confidentiality of employee health information.
- Front Office Duties: Performs front office clerical duties such as answering telephones, check-in, check-out, and record processing.
- Medication Administration: Dispenses medications as directed by practitioner and in accordance with state regulations.
- Clinical Equipment Operation: Maintains and operates all clinical equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
- Ancillary Testing: Performs ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws) in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Customer Service: Provides excellent customer service to all patients, clients, and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university or Graduate of an accredited Registered nursing program.
- Licensure: Current registration/license in the state where employed.
- Certifications: Successful completion of UDS, BAT, PFT, FIT, certification.
- Experience: Customarily at least one year of demonstrated experience in occupational health nursing or related field.
Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
