Role Overview
We are in search of a Financial Processes and Internal Control Manager to centralize and streamline processes while implementing internal controls to guarantee the Finance Department operates efficiently and in compliance with regulations. This position reports directly to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategy and timeline for the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with division leaders within the finance department (Chief Accountant, Head of PF&A, Treasury Manager) to establish and document SOPs for each division, ensuring they remain current with necessary updates.
- Ensure that the SOPs across divisions are aligned, incorporate essential controls, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Formulate an Internal Control strategy.
- Document internal control processes, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct control assessments and provide reports and insights to the Finance Director, department heads, and senior management.
- Monitor the implementation of recommendations.
- Develop and implement a financial risk management strategy, identifying, mapping, and tracking risks.
- Address ad-hoc requests.
- Prepare additional reports and engage in special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Relevant professional certification is advantageous.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within an Internal Control division.
- Background in Risk Management.
- Experience with a Big 4 firm is a plus.
- Strong data analysis capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and cash flow management.
- Proficient negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
- Capacity to grasp broader business challenges.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Tech-savvy with a comfort level in adopting new technologies.
- Innovative thinking skills.
- A commitment to continuous learning and awareness of industry best practices and trends.
