Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Windows Server Administrator to join our dynamic team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role involves collaboration with fellow system administrators, as well as network and security teams, to effectively implement, manage, and maintain all Windows-based servers, enterprise storage solutions, and virtual environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a level 2 escalation point for troubleshooting server and application issues.
  • Manage a largely on-premises environment with a focus on over 100 virtual servers.
  • Utilize VMware vSphere and Windows Active Directory, with some engagement in Azure for O365 functionalities.
  • Assist in the deployment of new products, vendor collaboration, and software upgrades on servers.
  • Handle enterprise application connections and maintain a diverse range of duties, including server management, storage array oversight, and backup issue resolution.
  • Participate in ongoing projects and utilize SRM within a fully licensed VMware environment, including Cisco UCS blade systems.

Security Focus: Candidates should possess a security-oriented mindset, as our IT organization emphasizes teamwork across various departments. This role will involve reviewing audit and penetration test outcomes, implementing necessary corrective actions, and conducting regular assessments of server-related infrastructure to ensure optimal security and functionality.
