Job Title: Digital Learning and Media Innovation Facilitator

Stanly County Schools is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Learning and Media Innovation Facilitator to join our team. This is a full-time, 10-month position that reports to the Principal.

Job Summary:

The Digital Learning and Media Innovation Facilitator will serve as the key digital learning and library media program specialist, combining the roles of an Instructional Technology Facilitator and School Library Media Coordinator. This position will produce a curriculum leadership role, directly impacting student achievement through digital teaching and learning, and media initiatives in the school building and district.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plans and Facilitates Media and Library Programming: Develop and maintain the School Library Media Program and collections, including an increase in digital resources. Collaborate with teachers and students to select and evaluate resources, ensuring balance among teaching, instructional technology, collaboration, collection development, and program management.
  • Plans and Facilitates Digital and Personalized Teaching and Learning: Develop a vision for the implementation of the Digital Learning Plan and Digital Learning Competencies. Work with the principal, school leadership team, and District to provide access to technology resources and services at point of need. Use data-driven decision making to continuously improve teaching and learning with technology and media programs in the school.
  • Instructional Design and Improvement: Serve as a curriculum leader and collaborator in the school. Assist the school and district curriculum leadership team with formatively coaching teachers on best practices for instruction. Support the implementation of the SCS curriculum, aligned with the digital learning professional development plan.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and NC Teacher Licensure
  • NC 076 certification for Media Coordinator, OR NC 077 license for Instructional Technology Specialist-Computers, OR NC 079 Special Endorsement in Computer Education
Working Conditions:

The work regularly requires standing and walking around the classroom and school. It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. The work often requires bending, squatting, reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights and rarely, the lifting of weights above 30 pounds.
