Medical Support Specialist

UAB Health System is seeking a skilled Clinic Technician to join our team. As a Clinic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform medical testing, such as vital signs and urine specimens, as directed by physicians or RN/LPNs.
- Prepare and collect charge tickets, and answer patient phone calls regarding medical questions and test results.
- Ensure patient rooms and instruments are clean and stocked with required supplies.
- Order and maintain clinic supplies, and perform pre-load responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and advanced knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management.
- Exceptional telephone and customer service skills.
