Collision Repair Specialist

Job Summary:
Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Collision Center is seeking a skilled Collision Repair Specialist to join our team. As a Collision Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and performing necessary body repair work in accordance with factory and Collision Center specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine body damage on customer vehicles
- Identify necessary body repair work
- Estimate cost of body work
- Request necessary parts
- Perform body repairs, including removing damaged body parts and replacing with fixed or new parts
- Document repairs performed
- Perform body repairs efficiently and according to Collision Center and insurance company guidelines
- Maintain CSI at or above Company standards
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Participate in required training
- Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
- Follow Safeguards rules and regulations
- Demonstrate the Company's Core Values
- Comply with Company policies and procedures
- Observe all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
Requirements:

Education:
A GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, or Doctorate Degree in a related field is preferred.
Field of Study/Work Experience:
A background in Automotive, Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or Information Technology is desired.
Desired Work Experience:
Up to 3 years, 3-5 years, or 5+ years of experience in a related field is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
A valid Driver's License is required.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping system and ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
Communication Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Attendance Expectations:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
Environment Demands:
Duties are performed primarily in the Collision Center. Work includes movement of vehicle body parts, working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment.
Verbal and Writing Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations. Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.
