Job Title: IGM Genetic Laboratory Supervisor

Join our team of dedicated professionals at Nationwide Children's Hospital as we seek a highly skilled IGM Genetic Laboratory Supervisor to lead our laboratory operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our IGM laboratory section, ensuring the highest quality of patient care and research outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example with strong leadership and management skills, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in all aspects of laboratory operations.
  • Develop and implement procedures and processes to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors, managers, and directors to maintain technical and procedural operations within the Institute for Genomic Medicine.
  • Provide training and education to staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with current literature and product development in relevant areas, applying this knowledge to improve laboratory operations and patient care.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field.
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification as an MT(ASCP), MB(ASCP), or CG(ASCP).
  • At least four years of experience as a Genetic Technologist II or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and computer experience.
  • Ability to present information effectively through oral or written communication.
  • Ability to maintain and foster interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers.
