Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Saint Luke's Health System. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration and billing process for our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct professional patient interviews, obtaining demographic, financial, and biographical information. This position requires strong communication and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Understands insurance terminology and obtains information to appropriately bill payors
Verifies patient insurance eligibility and confirms benefits eligibility
Gathers statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations
Completes payment transactions by using proper negotiating techniques to collect money owed by patients and guarantors
Makes referrals to appropriate financial resources, such as payment plans and lines of credit
