Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Supervisor to join our team at the Kennewick School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising groups of students during clinical patient care training at local health care facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise groups of up to ten students during clinical patient care training at local health care facilities.
  • Observe and enforce facility policies at all times.
  • Assist nurse educators in the clinical rotation and the classroom skills lab.
  • Work with nurse educators in the planning and tracking of students in their clinical rotation.
  • Report student observations and bring any significant issues to the attention of the nurse educators.
  • Maintain complete and legible records of evaluation/observation of each student throughout the clinical internship.
  • Assist in supervision and control of students to promote a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment.
  • Perform all duties within the scope of the Kennewick School District policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must hold a current, unencumbered Washington State nursing license (LPN or RN, RN preferred).
  • One year of current bedside care experience within the past three years in either long-term care, geriatrics, or medically fragile is required.
  • Previous long-term care experience is desired.
  • Must be willing to update skills and procedures to those currently dictated by the Washington codes directing Nursing Assistant Certification Program.
  • Must meet all health care facility employee health requirements.
  • Must be currently certified in CPR/First Aid and have a current TB test.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous mentoring or proctoring experience is helpful but not required.
Working Conditions

The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to extremes in temperature and wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level is moderate.
