Clinical Nurse Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Supervisor to join our team at the Kennewick School District. As a Clinical Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising groups of students during clinical patient care training at local health care facilities.
Job Summary:The Clinical Nurse Supervisor will work closely with nurse educators to ensure the successful completion of clinical rotations and provide guidance and support to students. This is a temporary position, and the selected candidate will be responsible for performing various duties, including supervising students, observing and enforcing facility policies, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:- Supervise groups of students during clinical patient care training at local health care facilities
- Work closely with nurse educators to ensure the successful completion of clinical rotations
- Provide guidance and support to students
- Observe and enforce facility policies
- Maintain accurate records of student evaluations and observations
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by nurse educators
- Current, unencumbered Washington State nursing license (LPN or RN, RN preferred)
- One year of current bedside care experience within the past three years in either long-term care, geriatrics, or medically fragile
- Previous long-term care experience desired
- Ability to assess and correct issues involving safety
- Ability to establish and maintain a tactful, cooperative, and effective relationship with students, parents, staff, fellow employees, and management
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone
- Ability to use basic computer programs to maintain records, enter timecard information, and read and respond to email
- Previous mentoring or proctoring experience
The work environment for this position will be in a local health care facility, and the selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The noise level in this work environment is moderate.
