Position Summary

The National Account Manager is tasked with cultivating and expanding sales in the Chain Link, Wire, and Agricultural Fencing sectors through both established relationships and new growth avenues. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth within industrial, construction, and major retail distribution channels.

Utilizing existing relationships while identifying new opportunities, you will lead the execution of our sales strategies and objectives. This position entails ownership of the complete sales cycle in collaboration with third-party sales representatives. You will direct and support sales goals by managing daily account functions and developing sales plans and forecasts to enhance business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business strategies and programs to ensure an exceptional customer experience for key accounts.
  • Plan and coordinate online promotional activities for assigned customers to drive double-digit growth in this category.
  • Lead and engage in all line reviews, partnership discussions, and market assessments.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management teams to create product assortments and sales strategies for the designated territory.
  • Oversee territory growth across all segments, ensuring the execution of core, focus, and new product commercialization strategies.
  • Manage third-party representative agencies and the sales planning process, including the design and implementation of tools and procedures to optimize resource utilization in sales.
  • Establish systems for accurate revenue forecasting, unit demand, and order flow management.
  • Conduct market analyses to assess customer needs, volume potential, pricing structures, and discount strategies.
  • Monitor and control division expenditures to align with budgetary constraints.
  • Contribute to the development of an annual sales budget for each assigned account.
  • Deliver sales presentations and maintain relationships with all key accounts.
  • Oversee inventory and sales forecasting to meet company and customer objectives.
  • Understand financial metrics and P&L to achieve sales and profit targets for all assigned accounts.
  • Travel to attend industry events, company functions, and customer meetings, with an estimated travel requirement of 35-50%.

  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for trade shows and customer visits.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in major account management.
