Job Summary

This role involves operating radiologic equipment to create clinical diagnostic x-ray images as directed by medical professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine diagnostic procedures, including positioning patients and adjusting equipment for optimal image quality.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Position patients and adjust radiologic equipment to obtain high-quality x-ray images.
  2. FOLLOW prescribed safety protocols when operating radiologic equipment.
  3. Instruct patients regarding procedures and provide clear instructions.
  4. Examine radiologic film for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
  5. Develop and process radiologic film according to established procedures.
  6. Deliver x-ray images to requesting parties for interpretation.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized x-ray exam room, stocking necessary medical and radiological supplies.
  8. Clean and perform minor adjustments to radiologic equipment.
  9. Responsible for routine maintenance and notifying vendors of equipment failures.
  10. Disseminate x-ray reports and images, maintaining a location log.
  11. Schedule radiologic exams to be performed at outside labs, as needed.
  12. Gather and prepare x-rays with physician interpretation for radiologist review.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Radiology or completion of an accredited radiology program.
  • SCRQSA license (Permanent) or temporary B SCRQSA license (valid for 30 days).
  • ARRT certification in Radiology.
  • New graduates must obtain Permanent SCRQSA license within 30 days of passing ARRT registry.

Preferred Skills

  • One year of experience in physician practice.
