">About the Role
">We are seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in ambulatory care. This role is responsible for operating radiologic equipment, performing routine diagnostic procedures, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
">The Ideal Candidate
">To succeed in this role, you will have a strong foundation in radiology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining x-ray exam rooms, stocking medical supplies, and performing routine maintenance on radiologic equipment.
">Responsibilities
">- Operate radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films as directed by care providers">
- Perform routine diagnostic procedures, including positioning patients and adjusting equipment for taking x-rays">
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment">
- Instruct patients regarding procedures">
- Examine radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion">
- Develop and process radiologic film">
- Deliver film to requester for reading/interpretation">
- Maintain x-ray exam room and stock necessary medical and radiological supplies">
- Clean and make minor adjustments to radiologic equipment">
- Responsible for routine maintenance and vendor notification of failures">
- Responsible for dissemination of x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log">
- Schedule radiologic exams to be performed at outside labs, as necessary">
- Gather and prepare x-rays with physician interpretation for radiologist over read">

">Qualifications
">To qualify for this role, you will need:
">- A minimum of an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field">
- No experience required; one year of physician practice experience preferred">
- Current licensure as a Registered Technologist (RT(R)) in good standing">
- Certification from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)">
Location and Work Schedule
">This role is based at our Columbia location, and the typical work schedule is daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
