About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team as an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Expert. As a key member of our CloudFormation team, you will be responsible for developing services and client software that empower customers to spin up infrastructure across AWS at unprecedented scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply technical leadership in the CloudFormation Registry space to drive the next level customer experience for Resource Providers and developers enabling Registry resources into their accounts.
  • Drive a scalable engagement model and tooling for AWS service teams who build on top of CloudFormation resource packages to deploy their infrastructure changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring adherence to coding standards, code reviews, and source control management best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
