Job Overview:

The University of California is seeking a dedicated Electrophysiology Cardiovascular Specialist to join our dynamic Invasive Cardiology team. This role is essential in assisting with diagnostic and interventional angiographic cardiovascular electrophysiology procedures, including peripheral vascular, adult congenital, and endovascular surgical interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of various ablation systems and pacing techniques.
  • Conduct EP mapping of cardiac anatomy under physician supervision.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of x-ray equipment during EP procedures, maintaining radiation safety at all times.
  • Perform quality checks and resolve any imaging equipment issues.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in human anatomy, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic waveform analysis.
  • Participate in training and evaluation of staff as part of self-directed work teams.
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Assist in the Electrophysiology/pacemaker clinic as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of certification training from an accredited CVT school or Electrophysiology program.
  • Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications upon hire, with a commitment to obtain Advanced Resuscitation Training within six months.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in cardiovascular monitoring and auxiliary equipment within an electrophysiology lab.
  • Competency in PACS, Angiography, and cardiovascular monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CVT certification.
  • RCES certification.
  • Experience in an Electrophysiology (EP) lab.

Special Conditions:

  • Flexibility to work various hours and locations based on departmental needs.
  • Employment is contingent upon a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Compensation:

The annual full pay range for this position is between $98,261 and $122,127, subject to adjustment based on appointment percentage. The hourly equivalent is approximately $58.49. Compensation factors include experience, skills, knowledge, education, licensure, and other organizational needs.
