The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is dedicated to ensuring that competition works effectively in the marketplace, benefiting consumers and businesses alike. We are seeking a Staff Tech Lead to enhance our Cloud team, which is pivotal in developing and sustaining our cloud infrastructure and development platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team tasked with the automated deployment of applications in secure production settings.
  • Develop tools and infrastructure aimed at improving developer satisfaction and accelerating development processes.
  • Establish, document, and create 'golden paths' for teams to construct services in a scalable and secure manner.
  • Collaborate with various teams across the organization to gather requirements, provide support, and advance projects.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in delivering commercial products and services, preferably using Go.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing services using Go, Python, or C++.
  • Experience in building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as ArgoCD and Spinnaker.
  • Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, including the development of custom controllers and/or operators for automation.
  • Experience in leading a small team of infrastructure engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Managed ingress solutions such as Ambassador, Envoy, or Istio.
  • Experience with Developer Platforms in mid-sized or larger organizations.
  • Background in the Autonomous Vehicle industry.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Additional benefits include eligibility for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and comprehensive benefits.
