Job Title: Playground Monitor Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Playground Monitor Assistant at Evergreen Public Schools. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive impact in their lives.

About the Role:

  • Assist in supervising students on the playground and surrounding areas to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Help establish and maintain a safe and cooperative attitude on the playground.
  • Support the implementation of playground rules and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to provide a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise students during recess and lunch periods, ensuring their safety and engagement in activities.
  2. Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  3. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive school environment.
  4. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Evergreen Public Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
