Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Cardiovascular Technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases. This will include operating imaging equipment, administering medications, and assisting with interventional procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels
  • Administer medications to patients as prescribed by physicians
  • Assist with interventional procedures, such as angioplasty and stenting
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to physicians
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Science with a major in Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience
  • Registration with the National Board of Cardiovascular Testing preferred
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
