As a Modeling and Simulation Analyst...
  • Your key responsibilities will include developing models and conducting analyses on sensor, tracker, communication, and weapon systems for mission-level simulations utilizing AFSIM, aimed at uncovering valuable insights, guiding conclusions, and aiding decision-making.
  • You will execute statistical analyses to identify trends, evaluate risks, and document uncertainties in simulation outcomes.
  • Collaboration with our software development team will be essential, focusing on enhancing our custom tools, including designing efficient data representations for extensive datasets, validating accurate interactions among interdependent algorithms, and automating production analysis workflows.
  • You will likely collaborate with a small team, mentoring junior analysts who will benefit from your expertise, as well as senior engineers, guiding project directions.
  • Independent research projects that foster innovative solutions and reward initiative will be part of your role.
  • You will have opportunities to present your findings through briefings to both technical experts and key decision-makers.
Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the position if you...
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Possess at least two years of experience utilizing AFSIM for modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Have experience in performing statistical analyses to identify trends and draw conclusions.
  • Exhibit strong skills in mastering new and challenging subjects.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative setting and communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Are proficient or fluent in a programming or scripting language such as MATLAB or Python.
  • Can obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and ultimately achieve a Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will undergo a government security clearance investigation and must meet the criteria for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
