We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team at Humbug Holiday Lighting of Sioux Empire.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for distributing marketing materials, approaching local business owners to explore co-marketing opportunities, and managing our social media presence.

This role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in marketing and social media, with a passion for the holiday season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute Marketing Materials:
    • Visit local businesses to discuss potential co-marketing opportunities, such as co-branded promotions and referral programs.
    • Assist in planning and executing community events or promotional activities to boost brand awareness.
  • Social Media Management:
    • Create and schedule engaging social media content that highlights our services, showcases past installations, and promotes special offers.
    • Monitor and respond to comments and messages to foster community engagement.
  • Engage with residents and business owners to provide information about our holiday lighting services and collect feedback.
  • Reporting:
    • Keep track of distribution areas, business interactions, and social media performance.
    • Provide regular updates to the marketing team.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a marketing, business, communications, or related program (or recent graduate).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) and basic content creation.
  • Creative mindset with a knack for identifying marketing and social media opportunities.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to various locations within the area.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
