Senior Engineering Leadership Position at Databricks

Databricks is a leading data and AI company that empowers organizations to unlock the value of their data. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our team, with a strong background in Data Security and distributed systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and building highly secure and scalable data infrastructure solutions. Your expertise in Cryptography, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Authentication, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, Detection & Response will enable you to make a significant impact on our security engineering discipline.
RequirementsTo succeed in this position, you should have:
- At least 9 years of experience in Data Security or related areas and expertise in two or more of the following: Cryptography, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Authentication, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, Detection & Response.
- 15+ years of experience building large scale distributed systems with high availability.
- Leadership skills and experience to lead across functional and organizational lines.
- Strong communication skills to explain and evangelize Data Security to senior leaders across the company.
- Bias to action and passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
- MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields.

CompensationThe salary range for this position is $232,000 - $313,000 USD per year, based on location and experience. This figure includes base salary and bonus potential.
