The Project Estimator will play a pivotal role in our project acquisition process, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This position demands a professional with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of construction processes, and the ability to communicate effectively within our organizational values.

Project Estimator Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant expenses.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed bid proposals and competitive offers, ensuring all project requirements and specifications are addressed.
  • Analysis: Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and verify cost assumptions.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to stay informed about current market trends, material costs, and subcontractor pricing to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed cost reports and estimates to senior management and stakeholders, providing clear explanations and justifications for proposed costs.

Project Estimator Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projects, demonstrating proficiency in cost analysis and bid preparation.
  • Education: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a deep understanding of construction processes and cost factors. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.

Project Estimator Compensation:
