Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) Child Diagnostic Unit. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to patients and their families, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and document assessment data from patients and/or others per UAMS standard.
  • Develop patient's Plan of Care (POC) per department/unit standards utilizing assessment data.
  • Evaluate the progress of patients toward attainment of desired outcomes.
  • Administer medication following department/unit standards and Nurse Practice Act.
  • Verify and evaluate care delivered to ensure it is consistent with patient and family centered care principles, practice standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the integration of current evidence into nursing practices.
  • Promote an environment conducive to positive educational experience for all students and staff.
  • Provide effective patient/family education/discharge planning.
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate care appropriately through documentation in the medical record.
  • Reports variances in care/ systems/ processes through the appropriate means.
  • Participate in recruitment/retention of staff.
  • Facilitate development and implementation of nursing practice standards that are evidence-based and in compliance with ANA standards.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse License in the State of Arkansas.
  • Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethic and accountability.
