About Us:
The Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-driven emergency service dedicated to enhancing community resilience against emergencies. Our trained volunteers are equipped to respond effectively across diverse emergency situations, aiming to mitigate the impact of such events and aid in swift recovery.
As Australia's largest road rescue network, we provide a 24/7 response to road incidents and collaborate with various agencies during significant emergencies, including bushfires.
Role Responsibilities:
Emergency Service Organizations in Victoria are tasked with delivering incident management capabilities during crises. This includes scenarios where the organization serves as either the primary or supporting agency. The Incident Management Capability Support Officer will closely collaborate with volunteers and staff, as well as senior operational members, to facilitate the development of individual plans for incident management pathways.
Essential duties involve completing relevant training, enhancing skills and knowledge, and gaining experience to achieve accreditation for designated roles. This position is integral in connecting team members with opportunities for personal development within the incident management framework.
