Position Overview
We are excited to announce an opening for a Residential Associate. In this role, you will be part of a dedicated care team supporting adults facing serious mental health challenges. Your key responsibilities will include fostering life skills, implementing therapeutic interventions, managing household tasks and meal preparation, administering medications, and maintaining precise clinical records. Candidates with experience as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), or similar roles are encouraged to consider this opportunity.
Vocational Training Program
For those starting as a QMHA-R, we provide a Vocational Training Program designed to enhance training, experiential learning, and preparation for certification. This program enables qualified employees to fulfill the 1000 supervised hours necessary for QMHA-I certification, achievable in as little as 6 months.
Work Schedule:
- Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Part-Time, Day)
- Sunday through Wednesday 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Part-Time, Night)
- Thursday through Saturday 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Part-Time, Night)
Compensation:
$22.00 per hour based on experience and credentials. An additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential applies during the hours of 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM.
Additional 5% Language Differential available for bilingual or multilingual candidates (Spanish/English preferred).
About Our Program
Willamette Rose is a Residential Treatment Facility catering to 9 adult women transitioning from higher levels of care, including state hospitals.
ColumbiaCare Services qualifies as an employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program, and QMHA employees may apply for the Oregon Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration, which includes one of the following:
- A Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or a related field;
- OR a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience in behavioral health working with individuals in a supervised environment;
- OR a combination of relevant education and experience.
If not already registered as a QMHA, we will assist you in the registration process within 30 days of hire.
Driving is a critical aspect of this role. Successful candidates must possess a valid driver's license, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements:
This position necessitates the ability to frequently communicate, listen, use hands and fingers, stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds. It may also require occasional sitting, climbing, bending, and performing other physical tasks. Successful completion of crisis de-escalation and CPR training is required, which involves physical maneuvers. Reasonable accommodations can be arranged.

Compensation Information: $20-$22 Hourly Wage
