Credit Risk Associate

CME Group is seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Associate to join our team. As a Credit Risk Associate, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and monitoring key credit risks related to CME's counterparties and exposures for securities clearing.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate the credit risk of CME's counterparties and exposures using financial analysis knowledge and CME's credit model.
- Aid in the yearly review and calibration of risk models and methodologies, including involvement in the validation process.
- Lead the build-out and implementation of risk management procedures, processes, and methodologies.
- Play an active role during due diligence reviews with external parties, including CME Securities Clearing's Members.
- Engage other teams to perform cross-functional projects within CME Group.
- Aid in the compliance of CME Securities Clearing's regulatory requirements through engagements with regulators and providing assistance in regulatory and third-party requests.
- Compose comprehensive credit, industry, and general market reviews and commentary.
- Present analysis and other projects to risk committees.
- Provide guidance and developmental support to Analysts on the risk team.
- 5+ years in a credit risk management or financial analysis role.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated track record of proficiency in Google Sheets and/or MS Excel and use of the program to build risk tools.
- Strong knowledge of Google and/or Microsoft Suite; Bloomberg.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related field.

The salary range for this role is $97,900-$163,100. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
