Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Methodist Hospital Northlake. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist licensed pharmacists in various inpatient pharmacy activities, including interpreting, entering, preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, and perform other duties as requested by the pharmacist on duty.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients at the counter and via telephone.
- Assist with purchasing medications for the pharmacy and restocking pharmacy shelves.
- Perform job duties under minimal supervision, adhering to pharmacy standards, written procedures, and guidelines, as well as state regulatory requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy.
- IN Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
