Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Methodist Hospital Northlake in Gary, Indiana. As a part-time, nonexempt employee, you will assist in various inpatient pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

• Interpreting, entering, preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications
• Maintaining excellent customer service with patients at the counter and via telephone
• Assisting with purchasing medications for the pharmacy and restocking pharmacy shelves
• Performing job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures, and guidelines

• High School Diploma or GED
• Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
• IN Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
• Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
• Effective communications skills; verbal and written
