Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Methodist Hospital Northlake in Gary, Indiana. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in various inpatient pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Interpret, enter, prepare, dispense, and distribute medications while maintaining excellent customer service with patients at the counter and via telephone.
  • Assist with purchasing medications for the pharmacy and restock pharmacy shelves.
  • Perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures, and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately complete daily activities and follow through on tasks to ensure completion.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy.
  • IN Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
