Compensation Lead Job Description

The Compensation Lead will serve as the subject matter expert in the administration of compensation-related projects. This role will partner closely with cross-functional groups to contribute and lead in the design, administration, evaluation, and implementation of various compensation programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop partnerships with People Business Partners (PBPs) and provide consultation to support compensation programs and business initiatives.
  • Advise on market trends, organizational structures, and job leveling to ensure alignment with business strategy.
  • Manage mid-sized compensation projects and work streams.
  • Provide senior-level analytical expertise for data-driven compensation recommendations.
  • Play a key role in annual compensation processes.
  • Identify internal improvement opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 7-9 years related experience.
  • Strong process and project-management skills with ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, organized problem solver with strong process skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel required.
  • Experience with HCM systems including Workday.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide an advisory and consultative approach and influence through effective written and verbal communication.
  • Prior experience in compensation systems preferred (market pricing tools, such as MarketPay/JDXpert).
