Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at RATP Dev USA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections, diagnosing and repairing minor coach problems, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections and procedures, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of steering, suspension, and brake components.
  • Diagnose and repair minor coach problems, including electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Assist other mechanics and technicians as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Inspect, adjust, repair, and replace protective guards, loose components, and specified safety devices.
  • Test drive and operate light duty vehicles, trucks, buses, and support equipment to diagnose malfunctions or ensure proper operation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of one to two years of vocational/technical schooling or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Must hold and maintain three ASE Truck or Transit Bus certifications, along with 608/609 Air Conditioning Certification and three years of verifiable experience in heavy-duty diesel buses or trucks.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new programs as required.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class B with endorsements required.
  • Must pass Department of Transportation (DOT) pre-employment physical and drug screening.
