Culinary Service Associate

Position Overview

The Culinary Service Associate will support the management team in food and meal preparation, as well as maintain accurate cash records and meal documentation. This role involves assisting in the completion of daily operational reports while upholding exceptional standards in food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality meals and baked items in accordance with the established menu
  • Compile a daily report to confirm all transactions
  • Understand meal components and their significance
  • Ensure food is stored properly and hygienically
  • Serve meals following scheduled times and departmental guidelines
  • Utilize and maintain kitchen tools and equipment, particularly knives
  • Efficiently prepare a variety of food items and beverages
  • Add garnishes to enhance visual appeal and customer satisfaction
  • Assist in thorough cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking equipment
  • Comply with all food safety regulations regarding sanitation, handling, and storage
  • Follow the uniform policy consistently
  • Engage with the Manager daily to accurately prepare the menu
  • Monitor food temperature requirements
  • Keep work and storage areas clean and organized
  • Perform cleaning tasks including scrubbing counters and sanitizing equipment
  • Adhere to established cleanliness standards to maintain a safe environment; responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • Maintain cleanliness in garbage collection areas and kitchen floors
  • Execute additional duties as assigned, which may include tasks in other kitchen areas
  • This position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing or walking. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.

Qualifications

  • Food Service Certification as required
  • Education or training sufficient to read, write, and follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
