Job Overview

In accordance with the DOT's FRA and FTA regulations, a substance screening program is implemented to assess pre-employment candidates and current employees in safety-sensitive positions.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a production environment, preferably in the light rail or transportation industry.
  • Expertise in both low and high voltage systems (VDC), medium voltage (VAC), and relay logic.
  • Practical experience with testing instruments such as digital multimeters, pneumatic gauges, and current probes.
  • Ownership and upkeep of a basic hand tool collection.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and pie tapes.
  • Skills in electrical crimping and applying mechanical torque.
  • A proven history of fostering and maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Experience working collaboratively in diverse and dynamic team environments.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • High School diploma with a preference for an Associate's degree in electronics or a related technical field.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective prioritization and performance under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in a team-oriented setting.
  • Capability to understand and follow work orders and procedures.
  • Competence in diagnosing and adjusting electrical and mechanical components according to established guidelines.
  • Attention to quality control measures and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces.
