Job Title: Virtual Speech Language Pathologist

Join Sunbelt Staffing as a Virtual Speech Language Pathologist and make a meaningful impact on students' lives and academic success. As a remote school-based SLP, you will provide speech and language services to students in a virtual learning environment, collaborating with teachers, parents, and educational professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in school-aged children.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language skills using standardized tests, clinical observations, and parent/teacher input.
  2. Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student goals, incorporating evidence-based practices and strategies.
  3. Therapy Sessions: Conduct virtual therapy sessions using teletherapy platforms, engaging students in activities to improve speech production, language comprehension, social communication, and other areas as needed.
  4. Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document students' progress towards speech and language goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure meaningful outcomes.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with school teams, including teachers, special education staff, and administrators, to support students' overall academic success and social-emotional development.
  6. Parent/Teacher Consultation: Provide guidance and training to parents and teachers on strategies to support students' speech and language skills in the classroom and at home.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessment results, therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork according to school and regulatory guidelines.
  8. Professional Development: Stay current with best practices, research findings, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology through professional development activities and continuing education.
Qualifications:
  1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  2. Valid Georgia certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  3. ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  4. Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school-based or pediatric setting.
  5. Strong understanding of speech and language disorders, assessments, and intervention strategies.
  6. Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms and technology for remote service delivery.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with students, parents, and educational teams.
  8. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage caseload efficiently in a remote setting.
