Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented Sr. Process Engineer to join our team in Fremont, CA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environments, proven experience in Kaizen concepts, Lean Manufacturing, and demonstrated experience in process development and yield improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environments.
- Proven experience in Kaizen concepts, Lean Manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience in process development and yield improvement.
- Making observations and taking measurements directly, as well as collecting and interpreting data from other technical and operations staff.
- Assume responsibility for environmental monitoring and ongoing process.
- Applying the principles of mass, momentum, and heat transfer to process and equipment design, including conceptual, scheme, and detailed design.
- Supporting the conversion of small-scale processes into commercially viable large-scale operations.
- Manage site Engineering Technicians.
- Work closely with Sales to interface with the customer in support of new and existing business activities.
- Work closely with Operations Site managers and Sales to deploy Engineering solutions, including technical problem solving, work instruction issues, and other Engineering activities as needed.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Master's or higher degree, or equivalent post-graduate education in above subjects preferred.
- 8+ years related experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry.
This job is usually performed in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and other related equipment. The employee will also be expected to be present in the manufacturing areas as required.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit; climb stairs; maintain balance; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Travel RequirementsWork may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
