Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Audit Manager, you will be instrumental in enhancing client internal controls and refining accounting practices. Your role will encompass:

  • Providing strategic advice to clients regarding economic and regulatory challenges specific to their sectors.
  • Identifying both financial and non-financial performance indicators, developing and communicating comprehensive audit strategies, and addressing intricate client inquiries.
  • Overseeing budgets, managing budget discrepancies, reviewing ongoing work, resolving realization challenges, and preparing billing statements.
  • Fostering a collaborative team environment by supporting colleagues and fulfilling commitments to both the team and clients.
  • Supervising managers and staff throughout the engagement process, including reviewing work, offering constructive feedback, and managing team workloads.
  • Taking ownership of personal decisions and outcomes, demonstrating accountability for commitments.
  • Acting as a mentor to staff, providing performance evaluations, and assisting in setting professional goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • A Master's degree in accountancy is preferred.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 7 years of practical audit experience with a prominent public accounting firm is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Ability to recognize complex client challenges and propose innovative solutions.
  • Delivering exceptional service by ensuring each interaction with audit clients is memorable.
  • Building and maintaining personal and professional relationships with clients, prospects, and referral sources through active participation in industry and community organizations.
  • Sharing expertise to facilitate skill enhancement and career progression for others.
  • Effectively leading a team to create a culture of trust, respect, and fairness.
  • Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with CCH Engagement and Knowledge Coach research tools or similar is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
