About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our Nonprofit Assurance practice at RSM US LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading audit engagements for a wide range of nonprofit organizations, including nationally recognized trade and membership associations and large philanthropic foundations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead audit engagements for nonprofit clients, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Assess risk and design audit procedures to engagement teams, utilizing RSM's Audit Methodology.
  • Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
  • Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors on engagement teams, facilitating field work and monitoring productivity and adherence to work plan schedules.
  • Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand the impact of significant developments in their business and assess the impact on current year audit engagements.
  • Develop others within the Firm through facilitating levels-based or industry training, advising on career development, or participating in other Firm initiatives.
  • Manage profitability of projects and identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of latest developments as they affect GAAP and the Firm's standards and policies.
Requirements
  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree.
  • 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations.
  • A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.
