As a Senior Auditor, you will oversee the daily "in-charge" responsibilities, including planning, fieldwork, and completion phases. This role involves preparing financial statements with appropriate disclosures, applying relevant GAAP standards, and documenting, validating, testing, and evaluating various control systems. Additionally, you will serve as the primary contact for clients regarding basic inquiries and may participate in reviews and agreed-upon procedure engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and propose enhancements to client internal controls and accounting practices to mitigate risks within the organization.
  • Prepare intricate financial statements with disclosures and inform clients about financial statement disclosure requirements.
  • Conduct research on complex accounting issues, independently forming initial opinions on appropriate treatments while considering the implications for the client and audit engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by supporting colleagues in their tasks and fulfilling commitments to both the team and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • Master's degree in accountancy is preferred.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant audit experience with a reputable public accounting firm is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience in planning and executing audits for both public and private entities.
  • Proactive in enhancing general and industry-specific advisory skills and applying them to client scenarios.
  • Ability to manage and consistently complete scheduled engagements or projects.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for the work of supervised staff.
  • Encourage collaboration within and across client service and project teams.
  • Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience with CCH Engagement and Knowledge Coach research tools or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
