Job Overview

Kiewit Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Intern to join our team. As a Quality Intern, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of company standards and guidelines
  • Track and analyze client critique results to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide updates to employees on client critique results and facilitate root cause analysis
  • Develop and maintain corrective action reports and quality metrics
  • Participate in district standards meetings and provide input/feedback on quality assurance
  • Understand and apply ISO 9001 standards to ensure compliance
  • Support internal quality audits and provide administrative support for audits and quality initiatives
  • Facilitate quality presentations and disseminate quality information to the team
  • Mentor Project Quality Coordinators and assist with developing project quality plans
Requirements
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to travel and relocate as the business requires (25%-50%)
  • Working knowledge of quality control procedures relating to construction activities is preferred
  • ASQ, CQM, CQA, or CWI certification and inspection experience a plus
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help ensure that nobody gets hurt
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
