Position Overview
The Assistant Director of Security and Safety is tasked with safeguarding the well-being of visitors, employees, and the museum's collections. This role entails collaboration with various stakeholders to oversee security measures and emergency readiness across the museum's premises.
Core Responsibilities
Management of Security Operations:
- Formulate and execute security guidelines, protocols, and policies
- Oversee security staff, including their training and scheduling
- Monitor surveillance equipment and address security events
- Conduct routine security evaluations and suggest enhancements
- Organize staffing for major events to ensure safety
- Collaborate with external security agencies
- Administer the security budget and financial processes
Emergency Preparedness and Management:
- Create and sustain emergency response strategies
- Facilitate training drills for personnel
- Coordinate with local agencies during emergencies
- Lead safety committees and introduce new safety initiatives
Risk Evaluation and Management:
