About the Role:

Ambulatory Care Professional Development Practitioner

Job Summary:

The Ambulatory Care Professional Development Practitioner will be responsible for advancing the profession of nursing and healthcare through education, research, and evidence-based practice. This role will work closely with leadership to plan and implement professional development initiatives that improve patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and practice of nursing staff.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in practice and develop strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement quality improvement projects.
  • Promote the use of evidence-based practice and research to guide clinical decision-making.
  • Support the development of nursing professional development as a specialty through promotion of research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to facilitate their professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or BSN with a focus on education or a related field.
  • Experience in project management, data analysis, and presentation.
  • Experience working with all levels within an organization.
  • Experience in healthcare, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office or similar software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Nursing Professional Development certification.
  • Experience in supervising nursing staff.
