LPN Ambulatory Care Specialist

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pulmonary Medicine team at Akron General. As an LPN Ambulatory, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Job Summary:The LPN Ambulatory will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or physician to provide patient care activities, collect and document objective and subjective data, and educate patients and family members. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or physician.
- Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about nursing assessments and report all current nursing care plan, medication or treatment and communicate patients' responses.
- Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or routine laboratory tests.
- Educate patients and family members.
- Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing.
- Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of patient care experience.
The LPN Ambulatory will require full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Personal Protective Equipment:The LPN Ambulatory will follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
