**Distribution Center Accounts Payable Specialist**

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Professional to join our team at National Coatings and Supplies Inc. as a Distribution Center Accounts Payable Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, and handling information requests.
  • Perform clerical functions such as pack slip, receipt, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Place orders and determine the availability of inventory and/or prices requested.
  • Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
  • Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
  • Assist with manual pricing reports, printing order status log, and automatic pick entry process.
  • Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
  • File and retrieve documents, records, and reports.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees, and boards of directors.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office: word, excel, publisher, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to operate handheld scanning equipment.
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 3 hours at a time.
  • Team player with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of some accounting procedures.
  • Ability to lift 20lbs regularly and up to 50lbs on occasion.
  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
