Distribution Center Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary:
National Coatings and Supplies Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Distribution Center Accounts Payable Processor to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, and performing clerical functions such as pack slip, receipt, and invoice reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare Invoices and Reports: Utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software to prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, and other documents.
- Answer Phone Calls: Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
- Manage Correspondence: Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
- Assist with Pricing Reports: Assist with manual pricing reports, printing order status log, and automatic pick entry process.
- Perform General Office Duties: Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
- File and Retrieve Documents: File and retrieve documents, records, and reports.
- Liaise with Departments: Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies.
- Conduct Research: Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees, and boards of directors.
- Education: Associates Degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office: word, excel, publisher, PowerPoint.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to operate handheld scanning equipment and stand and walk up to 3 hours at a time.
- Team Player: Team player with exceptional customer service skills.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Basic Knowledge: Basic knowledge of some accounting procedures (credit entry, order entry, factory billing, direct billing).
- Physical Abilities: Ability to lift 20lbs regularly and up to 50lbs. on occasion.
- Full-Time: 7:30a-4:30p.
