About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Resource and Access Management team at Amazon Web Services. As a key member of our team, you will design and build large-scale next-generation access management systems, collaborating with our leadership team to drive engineering and business decisions that impact the Amazon developer experience.

Our team is responsible for creating and maintaining a high bar for security across all of Amazon's products and services. We offer talented security professionals the chance to accelerate their careers with opportunities to build experience in a wide variety of areas, including cloud, devices, retail, entertainment, healthcare, operations, and physical stores.

As a Software Development Engineer II, you will contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, implementation, documentation, deployment, and operations across multiple products. You will work closely with your peers within a group of very talented engineers and builders to deliver high-impact outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and building large-scale next-generation access management systems
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to drive engineering and business decisions
  • Contributing to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle
  • Working closely with peers to deliver high-impact outcomes

Basic qualifications include 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, and experience programming with at least one software programming language. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, and experience with cloud security and compliance.
