Your Role: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Software Engineer with a proven track record in developing innovative, mission-critical applications that resonate with users. You will play a key role in shaping the design, architecture, and execution of Alexa features that enhance daily interactions for countless customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the technical direction for the Alexa Music experience.
  • Demonstrate expertise in crafting and developing intricate, interactive user experiences.
  • Provide insights to senior management regarding technical possibilities and challenges to ensure efficient delivery of customer features.
  • Inspire and guide team members to elevate the quality standards of the software produced.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience leading design or architecture of both new and existing systems.
  • Demonstrated experience as a mentor or technical lead.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of comprehensive software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Compensation: Our compensation structure reflects the labor market across various US regions. The base salary for this position varies based on geographic location and ranges from $134,500 to $261,500 annually. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
