Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Site Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Boys & Girls Club of the Muskegon Lakeshore, ensuring the effective delivery of programs and services, staff supervision, and membership management. The role emphasizes the safety of members, the quality of programs, and the positive representation of the Club.
Key Duties- Program Management: Supervise Program Coordinators, ensuring the establishment, monitoring, and evaluation of programs that foster youth success.
- Community Relations: Enhance public relations and recruitment strategies to boost program visibility and participation.
- Staff Coordination: Maintain accurate attendance and enrollment records, ensuring compliance with necessary databases.
- Resource Oversight: Manage the annual budget and ensure operational systems are in place for facility maintenance.
- Staff Development: Recruit and develop staff, providing opportunities for professional growth and program implementation.
- Marketing Initiatives: Increase program visibility through effective communication with schools and community organizations.
- Ensure a safe environment by overseeing facility maintenance and equipment management.
- Collaborate with staff on special events and program implementation.
- Support program coordinators in addressing member-related issues and behavior management.
Education: High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in a child-related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 480 hours in a program serving school-age children.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and project management abilities are essential.
Certifications: Current CPR/First Aid certification required within the first 90 days of employment.
Physical RequirementsMust be able to engage in physical activities, lift up to 50 pounds, and maintain valid driver's license and insurance.
