About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical or Construction Materials Project Manager to join our team in Wilmington, NC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing small to large projects, including complex Construction Materials Testing and Geotechnical projects.

Your technical expertise and project management skills will be essential in overseeing every phase of the project, from budgeting and scheduling to project deadlines. You will also be responsible for engaging closely with clients to understand their unique project needs and ensuring their utmost satisfaction.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will be expected to cultivate a robust local client base and expand your professional network to drive revenue growth that aligns with our ambitious financial goals. You will also take the lead in local and regional business development endeavors, amplifying our presence through strategic marketing efforts.

As a mentor and leader, you will nurture and guide a team of skilled professionals, project managers, and field-based personnel, fostering their growth and development. You will also review and craft proposals and reports of all sizes and complexity tailored to project specifications, industry standards, and client preferences.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field. You will also need to have 8+ years of combination of performing testing and/or managing Geotechnical, Construction Materials Testing, and Special Inspections projects.

Additionally, you will need to have 4+ years of experience in a project manager or leadership role and a strong working knowledge of applicable ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards and procedures, IBC Special Inspections, and geotechnical recommendations.
